Sena Nautitalk Crew
The Sena Nautitalk Crew is a compact and lightweight communication device developed for the marine sector. It can be used in combination with other Nautitalk or Mesh communication devices. The Crew can be attached to a cap or worn using the included headbands. It communicates via the Sena Mesh Intercom Network and can connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth 5.2. The Crew provides up to 8 hours of talk time.
The Nautitalk Crew offers a communication range of up to 800 meters in open water. It is IPX5 rated, meaning it has been tested and is protected against low-pressure water jets. With Advanced Noise Control technology, background noise is minimized, ensuring clear communication. The Crew is made from UV-resistant materials and is designed to withstand exposure to sunlight.
What is the Mesh Intercom Network?
Mesh Networking enables almost unlimited connections. It is a self-optimizing and self-healing network, constantly searching for the best possible connection and automatically reconnecting if a device drops out. Mesh allows two-way communication, meaning there’s no need to press a push-to-talk button to speak.
Which version of Mesh Intercom does the Sena Nautitalk Crew use?
The Sena Nautitalk Crew operates on the Sena Mesh Intercom 3.0 network but can be adjusted via the Sena Marine App to Mesh Intercom 2.0. This makes it backward compatible with other devices, including the Sena Tufftalk M.
What is Open Mesh?
Open Mesh allows an almost unlimited number of users to communicate within a defined area. Since the headsets relay signals between each other, the overall communication range can be extended.
What is Group Mesh?
Group Mesh allows private sessions with up to 24 participants on a closed channel. There are 9 available channels in total, enabling multiple groups to communicate securely in the same area. Users can switch between channels easily using the headset buttons.
Mobile Calls via Bluetooth
The Sena Crew can be connected to a mobile phone using Bluetooth 5.2, allowing hands-free calling just like any other Bluetooth device. For more detailed pairing and operation instructions, refer to the manual or quick start guide.
Hands-Free Communication with Full-Duplex Technology
Keeping your hands free while working or onboard is essential. With Full-Duplex technology, the Sena Crew allows hands-free, real-time communication without the need to press a button.
Easy Control and Updates with the Sena Marine App
Connect the Sena Nautitalk Crew to the Sena Marine App and customize settings to suit your needs. Adjust Mesh Intercom configurations, change channel frequencies, set speed dials, modify default volume, and more. The app also enables firmware updates, ensuring the headset operates at peak performance.
How Does Sena Headset Pairing Work?
Pairing or connecting headsets is explained in detail in the included manual or quick start guide. Controls are managed via the headset’s built-in buttons.
