The Sena Nautitalk N2R headset is a communication device with multiple connectivity options, designed specifically for the marine industry. With its IPX7 rating, the Nautitalk N2R is waterproof for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter, making it highly resistant to water exposure.

Through the Sena Mesh Intercom Network, an unlimited number of users can participate in a single conversation across 6 different channels. Group Mesh allows private communication for up to 24 users simultaneously.

Using Bluetooth, the headset can be connected to a smartphone for phone calls and music streaming. The built-in FM receiver supports radio stations in the 76–108 MHz frequency range, and the headset can also be connected via cable to a radio transceiver.

What is the Mesh Intercom Network?
Mesh Networking creates nearly unlimited connections. It is a self-optimizing and self-healing network that constantly searches for the best signal and automatically reconnects when a device disconnects. Mesh allows two-way communication without the need for a push-to-talk button.

What is Open Mesh?
With Open Mesh, an almost unlimited number of users can connect within a defined area. Because headsets communicate directly with one another, the signal is relayed and the total range is extended.

What is Group Mesh?
Group Mesh enables private sessions for up to 24 participants on a closed channel. There are 9 channels available, allowing multiple teams to communicate privately in the same area. Channels can be switched easily using the buttons on the headset.

Hands-Free Communication with Full-Duplex Technology
Keeping your hands free on board or during work is just as essential as maintaining an open communication line. Thanks to Full-Duplex technology, the Sena N2R allows real-time, hands-free communication—no need to press a button to talk.

Is the Sena Nautitalk N2R Waterproof?
Yes, the Nautitalk N2R has an IPX7 certification, meaning it can withstand immersion in fresh water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes. Rain and splashes pose no problem. However, full submersion is not recommended. After exposure to salt water, rinse the headset with fresh water to prevent damage.

Bluetooth Intercom
The Sena Nautitalk N2R does not include a 4-way Bluetooth intercom.

Radio Connection
The Sena Nautitalk N2R can be connected to a radio transceiver via cable, allowing it to function as both a radio headset and hearing protector. A push-to-talk (PTT) connector is built in for quick and easy radio communication.

Mobile Calling via Bluetooth
The N2R can connect to your mobile phone via Bluetooth 5.2, enabling hands-free calling just like with any Bluetooth headset. For detailed pairing and operation instructions, refer to the included manual or quick start guide.

Music via Bluetooth
Listen to your favorite music from apps like Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, or Deezer. With the music-sharing function, you can even share audio with other headset users.

FM Radio
Use the built-in FM radio to search, listen to, and save your favorite radio stations.

Battery Life
The Sena N2R offers around 12 hours of use when communicating via the Mesh Intercom Network. It comes with two rechargeable batteries and a dual charger, so one battery can charge while the other is in use. If power runs out, you can insert three AAA batteries as a backup solution—ensuring power anytime, anywhere!

Ambient Mode
The Ambient Mode lets you hear environmental sounds while wearing the headset, lowering the overall sound level to a comfortable volume. This is particularly useful in environments with heavy traffic or machinery. Note: Ambient Mode cannot be used simultaneously with intercom communication.

Easy Operation with the Sena Marine App
Connect the Sena headset to the Sena Marine App to adjust settings such as Mesh Intercom configurations, channel frequencies, speed dial options, FM radio presets, and default volume. The app also allows firmware updates, ensuring optimal performance at all times.

Expand the Mesh Intercom Network with MeshPort
Connect your regular Bluetooth headset (such as Apple AirPods) to the MeshPort Blue, which then links to the Mesh Intercom Network. This enables full communication with your team. The MeshPort Blue also functions as a repeater, boosting signal strength in areas with weak coverage.
