The Sena Cast - The Best Mesh Intercom Network Headset by Sena
The Sena Cast is an advanced hearing protection communication device with extensive connectivity options. There are two variants: the headset that can be worn without a helmet and the helmet adapter that fits almost any helmet using the Euroslot system.

Through a Mesh connection, an unlimited number of people can participate in a conversation. The Group Mesh is a private connection that supports up to 24 headsets simultaneously.

Two mobile phones can be paired simultaneously. You can make calls and listen to music via a Bluetooth connection. The FM function allows you to receive, listen to, and store radio stations. Additionally, the Sena Cast can be directly connected to a suitable external two-way radio via a cable.

Hearing Protection and Communication Solutions for Noisy Environments
The Sena Cast offers hearing protection and enables communication in noisy workplaces. The helmet-mounted communication set provides noise reduction of SNR -30 dB. The standalone headset offers noise reduction of SNR – 34 dB. Operation is managed using the three buttons on the side.

Bluetooth Intercom
The Sena Cast does not have a 4-way Bluetooth intercom like the Tufftalk M or Tufftalk Lite.

What is the Mesh Intercom Network?
Mesh Networking creates nearly unlimited connections. Mesh is a self-optimizing and self-healing network, always searching for the best connection and looking for a new one when a device disconnects. Two-way communication is possible via Mesh, meaning there is no need to press a push-to-talk button to speak.

Which version of the Mesh Intercom Network does the Sena Cast use?
In 2025, the Sena Cast received an update that enables it to use the Mesh Intercom Network 3.0.
This allows the headset to communicate with devices such as the Sena Cast, Sena Talkie, Sena Nautitalk, Sena Expand Mesh, and others. It is also possible to switch the Sena Cast back to the Mesh 2.0 network via the app, allowing it to communicate with the Sena Tufftalk M.

What is Open Mesh?
With Open Mesh, a nearly unlimited number of users can connect within a certain area. Because the headsets communicate with each other, the signal is relayed, allowing for extended range.

What is Group Mesh?
Group Mesh for private sessions supports up to 24 participants on a closed channel. There are a total of 9 different channels available, allowing 9 groups of people to communicate securely within the same area. Channels can be switched during work using the buttons on the headset.

Two-Way Radio
The Sena Cast can be directly connected to a two-way radio via a cable. This allows the headset to be used as a two-way radio headset and hearing protector. There is a push-to-talk button on the headset for easy communication with other radios.

Mobile Calling via Bluetooth
The Sena Cast headsets can be paired with two mobile phones simultaneously. Once connected with Mobile A, you can still receive calls from Mobile B, putting the previous call from Mobile A on hold. Once the call with Mobile B ends, the headset automatically switches back to Mobile A. Additionally, a speed dial function allows you to set up to 3 phone numbers for quick contact.

Listening to Music via Bluetooth
Listen to your favorite music via your mobile phone or another Bluetooth connection through apps like Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Deezer, or others. With the share function, you can even share your music with other headset users.

Listening to FM Radio Channels
With the FM function, you can search for, listen to, and save radio stations.

Ambient Mode
The Ambient mode allows you to hear ambient sounds while wearing the headset. It reduces these sounds to a comfortable level, which can be useful in environments where you need to stay alert. It is often used in workplaces with heavy (truck) traffic.The Sena Ambient mode and Mesh Networking don't work together. Switching on ambient, switches off the Mesh connection.

Hands-Free Communication with Full-Duplex Technology
Workplaces require open communication lines for safety reasons. Being able to respond without pressing a button is essential, especially for those operating heavy machinery. Sena addresses these needs with full-duplex technology, allowing people to talk hands-free, unlike traditional two-way radios where only one person can speak at a time.

Easy Control with the Sena Smartphone App
Connect the Sena headset to the Sena Industrial smartphone app and customize your headset directly. Modify available settings like those for the Mesh Intercom, adjust channel frequency, set speed dial options, program FM transmitter preferences, adjust default volume, and many other options depending on the headset type. This ensures optimal performance! Updates can be made by connecting the headset to a PC and downloading the Sena Bluetooth Device Manager program via the Sena Industrial website.

How Does Sena Headset Pairing Work?
Pairing/headset connection is described in detail in the included manual. Read it carefully; control is performed using the control buttons on the headset.

Expand the Mesh Intercom Network with the MeshPort
Three types of MeshPort are available to expand the Mesh Intercom Network: the MeshPort Red, Blue, and Black. Each has its own applications.

The MeshPort Blue is used to connect non-Mesh Bluetooth devices to the Mesh Network. Connect your Bluetooth headset via Bluetooth to the MeshPort Blue, and it will connect you to the Mesh Intercom Network. This allows you to communicate with your colleagues over the Mesh intercom network. The MeshPort Blue also features a repeater function, which can strengthen the existing Mesh network in areas with poor coverage.

The MeshPort Red is a solution for long-distance connections. Pair a mobile phone with the MeshPort Red and place it within the communication area. Now, calls can be made to this mobile phone from a distance, and someone can communicate over the Mesh intercom network from anywhere in the world! The MeshPort Red also features a repeater function, which can strengthen the existing Mesh network in areas with poor coverage.

The MeshPort Black is a solution for older Sena headsets that do not yet have Mesh Intercom Network capabilities. Connect the MeshPort Black to your old headset, and you can communicate directly over the Mesh Intercom Network. The MeshPort Black does not have a repeater function.

The MeshPort equipment is controlled via a separate app on your mobile phone.
