Rock Exotica - Akimbo 2
The Akimbo 2 by Rock Exotica is an updated version of a unique climbing device designed for tree care. It can be adjusted to fit different rope diameters without the need for any tools, making it compatible with ropes ranging from 11.5 mm to 12.7 mm.

The Akimbo 2 allows the arborist to ascend, descend, and position themselves on both SRT and DRT systems. Its contact surfaces are adjustable, enabling the user to increase or decrease friction depending on the climbing conditions. The Akimbo 2 also features an upgrade for SRT performance, and its wear parts are easily replaceable.

As the contact surfaces wear over time, they adapt to maintain functionality, helping to extend the device’s lifespan. The Akimbo is compact and can be easily opened for rope installation or removal.

Primarily intended for experienced climbers, it is highly recommended to thoroughly read the user manual before use to ensure proper and safe operation. The Akimbo weighs 301 grams and is suitable for users with a total weight of 30 to 130 kg.
