    ART - innovative climbing systems for the modern arborist

    ART, in full Advanced Ropeclimbing Technology, is a German brand focused entirely on innovative climbing systems for professional arboriculture. The brand sees standing still as going backwards, and that attitude translates into equipment that makes climbing safer, simpler and less demanding.

    ART develops mechanical climbing devices and complete climbing systems, including well-known products such as the Rope Wrench, the Lockjack and the Spider Jack, plus matching positioning equipment. Characteristic is the modular build: parts are replaceable, so worn components can be swapped out and older models can be upgraded to the latest standard. In this way ART offers a thoughtful, energy-efficient way of working in the tree.

    The origins of ART

    ART was founded by Hubert Kowalewski, a driving force behind the development of modern climbing techniques in arboriculture. From Germany, the brand built a reputation with devices that have fundamentally changed the way arborists climb, with a strong emphasis on efficiency and reducing physical strain. The philosophy of continuous innovation and of designing equipment in a modular, reusable way remained leading after the early years as well. As a result, ART is still regarded as a brand that leads the way in the technical development of climbing systems for professional tree care.
