Rigging Ropes
Rigging ropes allow you to lower branches and sections of trunk in a controlled way when dismantling trees. The lines are often available per metre or ready-cut in the most commonly used lengths. You can knot the end of the line, or choose a line with a spliced eye at the end. Knotting the line does carry the risk that the rope is (permanently) weakened. The lines with a spliced eye let you quickly attach or release strops or slings. This means the rigging line itself is placed under less load.
