Product description
The Edelrid FORAS carabiner features an angled-opening Tri-Lock locking mechanism. During opening, the gate rotates alongside the body of the carabiner, allowing this exceptionally compact carabiner (80 × 50 mm) to achieve a 15 mm gate opening. The carabiner is made from aluminium and weighs just 51 grams.
It has a major axis breaking strength of 23 kN. Every FORAS carabiner is machine-tested by Edelrid before leaving the factory. The carabiner is certified to the EN 362 standard and is suitable for use as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). It is supplied in black.
In addition to its EN 362 certification, the FORAS carabiner also complies with the PMA Standard “Connectors for Paragliding (V 2023.09.1)”.
