Prusik cords
Prusik cords are mainly used in tree care, because they often work with a so-called "double rope system". The prusik cord is placed on the rope as adjuster and the end of the rope is placed back. This ensures that the power is halved, which is necessary for correct operation. The endless slings are meant to make a Prusik knot. The eye 2 eye slings have a spliced or sewn eye at the ends. A Distel or Valdotain tresse (French prusik) are commonly used knots that function best with a pulley underneath.
